The land of origins and magic

Enchanted Nakhon Pathom

If you think you've seen it all in Bangkok, then it's time to get out and experience the magic of Nakhon Pathom.
What is generally regarded as the first city of Thailand, Nakhon Pathom is the birthplace of Buddhism in Thailand and celebrates this fact by hosting the world's largest chedi. Over several hundreds of years, the lanscape of Nakhon Pathom has changed dramatically due to droughts and the flooding of the Tha Chin river. This has resulted in this province being extremely fertile and has become the leading center of organic farming in Thailand.
This tour will have you cycling through some of the most lush fruit and veg orchards on offer as well as visiting a museum of astounding woodworkng craftmanship, a temple that offers magical tatoos as well as the world famous Wat Phra Pathom Chedi - a marvel of ornate and equisite architecture.Big Chedi

Itinerary

The day starts with an early morning mini-van pick up at your hotel - please wait in the lobby. Once on our way, your guide will give you a full briefing on the days events.
Once in Nakhon Pathom we start cycling along quiet rural roads that takes us through local communities, rice paddies and farming areas before we reach "What a View" coffee shop along the peaceful Thai Chin river. Here we can have a well earned bio break, re-energize ourselves with a light snack as well as visit the Woodlands museum displaying thousands ofmindblowing carvings.
After our break, we continue cycling through the plantations to visit a famous temple amongst the locals where they perform magic tatoos. This is also where we'll break for a delicious local lunch. After lunch, it's back on the bikes, to visit the beautiful orchid farms followed by a variety of farms of various crops such as basil, dill, elephant ear plant, ferns and lots more.
On this tour, the best is saved for last, as we visit the largest chedi in the world called Wat Phra Pathom Chedi. This is a First class Royal Temple of Nakhon Pathom province and the birthplace of Buddhism in Thailand. From here, we'll pack the bikes (and ourselves) back into the van and head on back to Bangkok, where we'll drop you off at your hotel.Canal in farm
